Janie P. Hale, 87 of Waxahachie, Texas passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2015 in Italy, Texas. She was born on September 19, 1927 in Russellville, Arkansas to the late Hall & Ada Rogers Perkins. She was a graduate of Russellville High School in 1945. Janie moved to Texas in 1972 and went to work at the post office at SAGC; she continued her education and later graduated from the Navarro Police Academy and went to work for the Ellis County Sheriff's Department for Sheriff Barney Boyd. She later went to work for the Waxahachie Police Department for many years until her retirement in 1992. She was a longtime member of the South Park Assembly of God Church in Waxahachie. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends and all that knew her and loved her. She is survived by her two Sons & Daughters In Laws: Dennis & Ruth Brearley of Waxahachie and Tommy & Alison Hale of Ovilla, Texas; one Daughter & son in Law: Barbara & David Jansen of Mission Viejo, California; Grandchildren: Deanna Rolland, Joel & Carla Rolland, Amanda Hale, Allen Hale, Alex Hale, Kim & Jeff Koford and Kesha & Scott Buhman; 6 Great Grandchildren. Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, May 15, 2015 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel with Dr. Gaylan Claunch officiating. Interment will follow at Waxahachie City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be State Trooper Allen Hale, Alex Hale, Lt. James Saulter, Sgt. Mike McKenna, Investigator David Gardner, Patrolman David Bittle and Lt. Billie Wallace. Visitation with the family is scheduled from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, May 14, 2015 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie.
