Janice Marleeta Eskridge was born February 11, 1937 in Waxahachie. She died on Saturday, February 25, 2006 at Desoto, Texas. She was the youngest of three children born to Claud and Zetta Eskridge and was their "Golden Child."

She is survived by one nephew, two nieces, six great nephews, and one great niece. Her father, mother, brother Cloyce and sister Joyce all predeceased her.

Janice attended Waxahachie public schools, due to medical problems, she led a sheltered and protected life. She loved her family and her pets and was never known to speak ill of any person.

Her life was not what you would call average or normal but in many ways it was extraordinary for it was devoted to the caring for others and always with a smile.

Graveside services will be held at 3PM Monday, January 27, 2006 at Hillcrest Cemetery .
