Lavinia Jane Stroud, age 83

December 23, 2003

Mrs. Stroud passed away at her Waxahachie residence Tuesday morning. She was born in Engelhard, NC to Leonard and Minerva Blanche Gibbs. She was a cotton gin spinner by trade. Mrs. Stroud was a member of the South Prong Baptist Church.

She is survived by: her husband, Abram Stroud of Waxahachie, son, Toby Rudolph Stroud of Leicester, NY; two daughters, Rose Marie Crandall and husband Louis Morris Crandall of Waxahachie and Linda Dean Bruebaker of Elizabeth City, NC; thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers, three sisters and one son, Dalbrow Stroud.

Memorial Services will be 10 AM Saturday, December 27, 2003 at South Prong Baptist Church with Reverend James Wilcox officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
