Jane Johnson

Jane Ann Johnson, 74, peacefully passed from this life at her home in Waxahachie on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 surrounded by her family. Jane was born September 16, 1940 in Eastland, Texas. She had a great love for children and worked with the Girls in Action (GA's) and taught pre-school Sunday School class for many years. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Tom of Waxahachie; sister, Christina South of South Carolina; six children, Rick (Leatta) of Crandall, Lisa Cole (George) of Austin, Tommy (Vera) of Dallas, Tim of Waxahachie, Barbara Priddy of Midlothian, and Berry of Conroe; nine grandchildren; and four great grandchildren a long with a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney Johnson Arther and Flora June Thomas Arther; and brothers, Jay, Tip, Bill and Jerry Arther. Visitation will be held 12:00-2:00 pm on Saturday, June 6th at the First Baptist Church, 315 N. Rogers St., Waxahachie, TX 75165 with memorial service to follow in the Sanctuary with Dr. Leroy Fenton officiating.
