Jane Felty

Jane Ann Bruns Felty passed away peacefully at home in Colorado Springs, Co on May 31,2020 from a short battle with Leukemia.  Jane was born February 11, 1944 to Robert and Viola Bruns in Monahans, Texas.  Shortly after they moved to Souix Falls, SD where she lived until she graduated College.  Jane moved to San Diego, Ca to pursue a career in teaching.  While in San Diego Jane met and married the love of her life Joseph William Rowland Felty April 20, 1968.  She was a housewife as Joe's career in the Navy had them moving around.  She volunteered for several organizations  throughout her life from her daughters swim teams, school events, church events  and most recently Toys for Tots and The Orginal Terlinqua International Championship Chili Cook Off.

Jane is preceded in death by her parents Bob and Vi Bruns and her husband Joe.

She is survived by her sister Cynthia Bruns of Irvine, Ca., her daughter Julie Petterson and husband Isaac of Colorado Springs, Co, her daughter Jacquelyn Felty of Waxahachie, Tx.

Grandchildren Andrew Kindred of Navasota, Tx, Joseph Vela and April Reed of Whidbey Island NAS, Wa., Alexus Kindred and fiance Jeremiah Ramirez of Waxahachie, Tx., John Vela Jr. of Colorado Springs, Co., and Jeffrey Vela of Quantico, Va.  Her Great Grandsons Alijah Jones, Ace Kindred and Blaze Ramirez of Waxahachie, Tx. Brother in law Larry Felty and wife Glinda of Waxahachie, Tx., Sister in law Margaret Felty of Waxahachie, Tx. and a host of nieces and nephews.
