Jan Taylor Burns was born October 14, 1948 to J.D. and Helen Taylor. She graduated Waxahachie High School in 1966 and married her loving husband, Burnie Burns, on June 21, 1968. She worked at the Ellis Count District Clerk’s Office for 18 years until she retired.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Burnie Burns; daughter Donna Michelle Burns of Waxahachie; son Burnie (Melissa) Burns II of Waxahachie, three grandchildren: Skylier (JR) Hill, Chelsea (Josef) Finley, and Burnie Burns III; one great-grandchild Kasen Finley; two sisters Jennifer Bigham and Toni (Jim) Deaton.

Jan was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or the National Kidney Foundation
