Jan Burleson

Beverly Jan Freeman Burleson, age 70, passed away on November 17, 2020, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.  She was born October 3, 1950 in Waxahachie, Texas to Jeanne (Scott) and Joe C Freeman.

Jan’s passion for life included many physical activities like tennis, teaching aerobic dancing, and horseback riding.  She wasn’t afraid of hard work and was always ready to drop everything in order to help someone in need without question.

Surviving her are husband Gary Burleson of Pattison, TX, daughter Susan Weldon and her husband Donovan of Smithville, TX; son Keith Burleson and his wife April of Rogers, AR; daughter Kristin Gable and her husband Ray of Bryan, Tx; daughter Lou Ann Forbes of Oxford, AL;  Son Jeremy Truitt and his wife Shannon of Spring, Tx; sister Kaye Almand and husband Tom of Waxahachie, TX; granddaughter Taylor; grandson Justin; granddaughter Madison; granddaughter Ashton; grandson Caleb; grandson Jacob; grandson Cooper; grandson Brooks; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 p.m. Friday 11/20/2020 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.

The celebration of her life will be 10 a.m. Saturday, November 21, 2020. Interment will follow at the Sardis Cemetery.
