James White

James Von White, 86 of Fort Worth, Texas passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2014 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born May 11, 1928 in Lamkin, Texas to the late William R. & Jewel Neel White. After high school he worked for the FBI in Washington, DC. Then he joined the Army and served with the 40th Infantry Division in Japan and Korea during the Korean War. After returning from the war he again worked for the FBI in Washington, DC. He was later transferred to the Dallas office and the Ft Worth office where he was involved in the investigation of the assassination of President Kennedy. He was the one person you could count on when things got tough and always had a smile and checked on those in need. He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his two sisters: Buena Collins of Gustine, Texas and Janis Willingham of Waxahachie, Texas and 3 generations of Nieces and Nephews: He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 Brother: J.N. "Son" White, 3 Sisters: Dorothy Nell White, Cloy Genetta Moore, Jo Rae Compton. Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, December 15, 2014, graveside at the Toliver Cemetery in Lamkin, Texas with Pastor Mary Mercer officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Kimbell Art Museum 3333 Camp Bowie Blvd. Fort Worth, Texas 76107 or call the Membership Department 817-288-3224.
