James R. Thweatt, age 85

Mr. Thweatt passed Sunday evening at his Waxahachie residence. He was born in Paris, MS. To Robert E. and Ila (Crain) Thweatt. He was a CPL in the US Army. Mr. Thweatt was a bus driver with Memphis Transit. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Palmer.

He is survived by: his wife, Leona Thweatt of Waxahachie; two daughters, Janet Thweatt Delk and Jean Hand and husband Glenn all of Waxahachie; two grandchildren, Jeffrey G. Dunbar and Kevin G. Hand; three great grandchildren, Ericka Dunbar, Catherine and William Dunbar; two sisters, Ruby King of Oxford, MS. and Merle Mitchell of Jackson, GA. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The Celebration of Life will be Graveside services at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas at 11 AM Wednesday, March 3, 2004 with Reverend C. D. Haun officiating. Interment will follow.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
