James Michael (Mike) Taylor, 54, was born on October 21, 1962 in Dallas, Texas to Bobby & Sherry Taylor. Mike graduated from MacArthur High School in Irving, Texas in 1981. He attended Video Technical Institute in Dallas, Texas from January 1982 to July 1982 majoring in Electronic Engineering. He was Lead Console Operator for Allied Marketing Group in Dallas from March 1992 to June of 1997. Mike worked in Desktop Support as Technician/Technology Officer for JP Morgan Chase from 1997 to 2000 and as Senior Technology officer from 2000 to 2011. Mike's last employment was with Tuesday Morning, Inc. in Dallas as Desktop Support Technician from 2012 to 2017. Mike's special achievement awards include "Employee of the quarter" at Allied Marketing Group. He also received numerous "Service Star" awards plus two "All Star" awards and one "Super Star" award with JP Morgan Chase where he received a trip to New York City to be honored. Beside his professional career, he enjoyed being with his family, his beloved pet cat Chasey, and going to craft shows with the love of his life, Kim Jarvis.
Mike is survived by his parents, a loving brother and sister in law, Scott Taylor and Monica Bodiford, a nephew by marriage Jamie Bodiford and his wife Carola, the love of his life, Kim Jarvis, grandmother, Eloise Taylor, uncles, Haskell Mauldin and his wife Ann, Ron Taylor and his wife Sherrie, and Benny Odom, Aunts, Karen Brooks and her husband Gary, Paula Booth and her husband Ronnie, and Pam Brosius and many loving cousins and friends.
Services to celebrate Mike's life are scheduled for Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Brother Jack Ables officiating. Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery.
Visitation with the family is scheduled from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association in Mike's name.
Arrangements are under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie, Texas.
