James Ross

James A. Ross, 68 of Red Oak, passed away suddenly, Thursday evening January 19, 2012 at Baylor Medical Center of Waxahachie. He was born to the late Cecil B. and Naomi Miller Ross on December 08, 1943 in Dallas, Texas. James loved to deer hunt and fish. He enjoyed and loved sports and also enjoyed gardening. James and his family are members of the Farley Street Baptist Church where James was always willing to help and volunteer in any capacity. He was a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class at Farley Street and will be missed by so many. James retired from Lone Star Gas and proudly served our country in the United States Navy. James loved the time he spent with his family and will be greatly missed and continually loved. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Eileen Ross of Red Oak; his daughters, Jaki Plouch and her husband, Gary of Conway, Ark., Leanna Travis and her husband, Andrew of Conway, Ark., and by Pamela Johnson and her husband, Robin of Frisco; he is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Services to celebrate James life are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 22, 2012 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Bro. Richard Smith officiating. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 10:15 a.m., Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie. If desired, memorials may be made to Farley Street Baptist Church, 1116 Brown Street, Waxahachie, Texas 75165.
