James R. Nation, lifetime area resident, passed away Friday at Parkland Hospital in Dallas. He was born in Anchorage, Alaska to Richard and Gail (Hankins) Nation.
James was a mobil mechanic for Trinity Trailer and a member of the Maypearl Fire Department. He loved cars, working on them and spending time with his family and friends. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by: his parents, Richard and Gail Nation; wife, Courtney Nation of Waxahachie; sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Jason Blain of Maypearl; grandmothers Ivan Nation and May Beth Ridgeway and grandfather, Willie Hankins; niece and nephew, Jessie and Jacob Blain; numerous aunts, uncles, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, James Nation; great grandparents, Chester and Altha Ridgeway; and aunt Francine Mertin.

The family will receive friends and relatives 5-7 PM Monday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of his Life will be 10 AM Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Elwin Campbell officiating. Pallbearers will be Matt Yates, Jason Blain, James Allen, Michael Crook, Michael Franklin and Terry Robert. Interment will follow in the Waxahachie City Cemetery.
