James Robert Naney of Avalon, Texas passed away September 29, 2021, at the age of 78 at the Veterans Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas.
He was born on January 24, 1943, to Wilson and Frankie Naney.
After graduating high school, Robert enrolled in Electronic School. He then went on to successfully opening three TV Repair Shops in Lubbock Texas. In 1964 he enlisted in the US Navy and served on two nuclear powered submarines. The USS SKATE and the FRANCES SCOTT KEY. He loved playing guitar and had his own band in the Navy. He was extremely intelligent, witty and strong willed. He loved fishing and recording on his multiple DVD recorders. He also loved to cook. He excelled at everything he did.
He cherished his family very much. He is survived by this brother, Charles Wade Naney and wife Patricia of Copperas Cove, Texas. One son, James Wilson Naney of Avalon, Texas. Two daughters, Susan Elizabeth Collins of Avalon, Texas, and Anne Cathryn Jaynes and husband Philip of Italy, Texas. Two grandchildren, April Nicole Estrada and Jacob Paul Northrup and numerous great grandchildren.
He will be greatly missed!!
