Mr. James Mismash, 82, of Waxahachie, TX passed away Monday, August 3, 2009. Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was born February 11, 1927 to James and Frances Mismash in Pueblo, CO. He served in WW II in the US Navy aboard the USS Minivet. After working with C. F. & I. Steel Corp. for 36 years he retired in 1983. He moved to Waxahachie, TX in 2006 where he enjoyed attending his grandchildren's activities on a regular basis. He was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church.
Survivors are his son James A. Mismash and his wife Carrie of Waxahachie, TX, brother Frank Mismash and his wife Dorothy of Rye, CO., grandchildren: Tiffany A. Zimmermann and James R. Mismash. Nieces: Cathleen Carter and her husband Mark, and Debbie Lopez. Nephews: Bob Burchik and his wife Connie, Joe Burchik and his wife Wendi, Dan Burchik, and Charles Kattnig. Preceded in death by his lovely wife Bertha Mae Mismash, mother Frances Mismash, and father James Mismash.
A memorial service will be held 1:30 P.M. Wednesday at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Waxahachie, TX with the Rev. Robert Hemsath officiating. A commital service of inurnment will take place in Pueblo, CO at a later time.
