James Leonard McGaha, 79, passed away in his home surrounded by his family on Thursday, November 7, 2013 in Red Oak, Texas. He was born July 12, 1934 to Joe and Willie McGaha (Lee) in Huntsville, Alabama. On June 1, 1952 he married Frankie Ella Weaver in Somerset, Texas. He was a retired US Air force Master Sergeant. He was an ordained minister and started several churches of ministries across the state of Texas. He enjoyed fishing with his boys, traveling, and being with his family. Survivors include the love of his life of 61 years, Frankie; his 3 daughters, Theresa Medlin of Italy, Texas; Terri Hulshouser of Red Oak, Texas; Denise and Durham Cornett of Red Oak, Texas; 3 sons James and Melvis McGaha of Katy, Texas; Tim and Judy McGaha of New Braunfels, Texas; Steve and Karen McGaha of Nixon, Texas. Also survived by 5 sisters; Marcella Harris, Barbara Hall, Susan Salmon, Cheryl Taylor, and Robin Baker and 3 brothers; David McGaha, T.J. McGaha, and Chris McGaha. He has 29 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and mother; sister Peggy Wells; and brother Eugene McGaha, son-in-law Earroll Hulshouser, granddaughter Michelle Hodges, and great-grandson Jase Watson Jr. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie, Texas. Funeral will be held Sunday at 2pm at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Italy Cemetery in Italy, Texas.
