James (Jim) Franklin McCoy, age 55
April 19, 1948
December 14, 2003

Mr. McCoy passed away Sunday morning, December 14, 2003 at his residence in Waxahachie. He was born in Waxahachie to Jasper Franklin and Margie Ruth (Keenom) McCoy. James was an Army Vietnam Veteran from 1967-1971. Jim and Rebecca Boswell were married November 17, 1979. He was also a Tank Commander in the National Guard and was a licensed private airplane pilot. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Italy, Texas.

Mr. McCoy is survived by: his parents, Frank and Margie McCoy of Waxahachie; one son, Aaron Colley McCoy, also of Waxahachie; two sisters, Kathi Marie McCoy of Richardson and Connie Sue Wiley and husband Steve of Italy, TX.; and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca.

The family will receive friends and relatives Tuesday evening 6-8 PM at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 10 AM Wednesday, December 17, 2003 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Brother Ted Tedford and Reverend Thomas Daugherty officiating. Pallbearers will be Keith Roberts, Wayne Sherrod, Jimmy Keenom, Mark Keenom, Mike Haggerty and Steve Wylie. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tracey Keenom, Eddie Lord, Merle King and Kahlid Habbas. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
