James Major

James Hugh Major (Jim) passed away Monday, March 6, 2017 at his home in Granbury, Texas after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Jim was born in Waco, Texas on July 4, 1944 to Mike and Inez Major. He was raised in Milford, Texas where he developed many life-long friendships. After a long career as a Manufacturer's Sales Rep, he joined his wife, Linda, in Real Estate in 2009. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, hunting, the typical "Lake Life", and most of all, visiting with family and friends.

Jim is preceded in death by his mother, Inez Major; father, Mike Major; daughter, Michelle Johnston; and step son, Mark Gordon.

Jim is survived by his wife Linda of 27 years; brother, Myron Major; sister, Myrolene May; brother in-law, Mike Clary; son, Daniel Major; daughter, Margaret (Molli) Lucido; step son, Michael Gordon and their spouses; three grandchildren; as well many cherished nieces, nephews and great-nieces.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church located at 101 Pecan Street, Milford, Texas 76670.
