James A. Farmer, 71 of Bedford, formerly of the Waxahachie area, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2007 at his residence. He was born to Lorene Farmer and the late Henry Farmer on May 11, 1936 in Forrest, Texas.
James loved the outdoors, especially when he was fishing or hunting. He enjoyed old cars, and was particular to Fords. James retired from James Contract Drapes after serving 10 years as a garment cutter, and worked in the garment industry for over 30 years. He will be missed by so many who knew him and loved him.
He is survived by his loving mother, Lorene Farmer of Waxahachie; his son, Frank J. Farmer and his wife, Debbie of Ft. Worth; his daughter, Pam Gideon and her husband, Steve of Hillsboro; sister, Betty Murray and her husband, Bobby of Waxahachie; brother, Robert Farmer and his wife, Linda of Waxahachie; his grandchildren, Vince Gideon, Ronnie Collins, Chris Collins and Joy Bradford; 6 great-grandchildren, Steven, Joseph, Logan, McCain, Wyatt and Samantha.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty Farmer; and his father, Henry Farmer.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at Mountain Peak Cemetery with Rev. Rick Renshaw officiating.
Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home of Waxahachie.
