James Bell

James Randle Bell, 62, went home to be with the Lord the 25th day of February, 2019.

Jimmy was born February 4, 1957 in Dallas, Texas to Victor and Betty (Baker) Bell. He married Patricia Darlene Miller on May 27, 1978. They raised two daughters, Kelli and Lesli.

He was among the first graduating class of the DeSoto Fire Academy and spent 38 years serving the city.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Victor and his mother, Betty. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Darlene, daughters Kelli (Ryan) Connelly and Lesli Bell, grandchildren, John Salazar Jr., Jordan Salazar, and Kyla Connelly, brother Gary (Ann) Bell, sister Karla (Hector) Silvas, several cousins, nieces, nephews, family, friends, and the entire DeSoto Fire Department and community.

A service to celebrate Jimmy’s life will be held on Friday, March 1, 2019 at Hillcrest Baptist at 10:00 am at 265 W. Pleasant Run Road, Cedar Hill, TX 75104. Burial will take place at Little Bethel Cemetery following the service.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
