James W. (Jimmy) Barnard October 14, 1950 December 15, 2012 On December 15, 2012, James W. Barnard (Jimmy), of Waxahachie moved on to live in the house of God. He was a beloved son and older brother who had many challenges in his life but always had a positive attitude and a big smile on his face. He was a strong Christian man and very knowledgeable about the Bible. He loved people and enjoyed singing, working on puzzles and playing games. As a younger man, he was a huge fan of High School Football. He could recite rankings and scores of games all over the State of Texas. Jimmy also rooted for The Cowboys and Texas Rangers, of course. Jimmy was a gentle, deeply religious man and will be greatly missed by his family. We feel that God's purpose for Jimmy's life was to teach us all strength in the face of great challenges. He always did that with a big smile on his face. We hope you are laughing and singing today, Jimmy. He is survived by sister, Carol Cather, brothers, Larry and Steve Barnard, six nieces and nephews and 3 great-nephews. Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 3:00 PM Monday, December 17, 2012 at the Farley Street Baptist Church in Waxahachie with Rev. Richard Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Red Oak Cemetery in Red Oak. Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday, December 16, 2012 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie. http://www.waynebozefuneralhome.com/
