James "Jim" Haley Armstrong, 59 of Waxahachie, Texas passed away Sunday, September 16, 2012 in Waxahachie. Jim was born on November 12, 1952 in Louiseville, Kentucky to Johnnie & Patty Lo Haley Armstrong. Jim was a 1971 graduate of Waxahachie High School, he loved his family, his dog Deja and loved the outdoors. He had a green thumb like no other. He always said " I can make a dead plant grow". Jim especially loved his friends which were a very big part of his family. His passion for life was only exceeded by his love for others. He seemed to always make everyone laugh when they needed it the most. He will always be remembered by his very unique style of humor, which was a blessing to us all. Jim is survived by his two sons James and Marcus Armstrong, Cousins: Bill Hughes and family and Bob Hughes and family. Jim was also survived by his biological family that he was very proud of, his brothers: Gerald Harmon, Kenny & Mary Ann Daylan and Henry Yates. He was preceded in death by his parents: Johnnie Armstrong and Patty Lo Haley and his biological parents Kinley Ray Huff and Mary Helen Harmon and 1 biological brother William Ray Yates. Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, September 20, 2012 at the Waxahachie City Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie. Pallbearers will be James Armstrong, Jr., Marcus Armstrong, Dusty Autrey, Will Widner, Johnnie Wiggins and Frank Martinez.
