Jack Winningham

Jack Ranton Winningham, 85 of Waxahachie, passed away from this life on December 5, 2015. He was born to the late Dewey and Lorene Winningham, January 2, 1930. Jack was a local business man and owner of Winningham Iron and Metal. He had a passion for his family and restoring antiques back to their original state. Jack was a 54 year member of the Masonic Lodge #90. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue French Winningham; his daughter, Jackie Winningham Owens; his sister, Sue Davis; and also by his brother, Bill Winningham. He is survived by his daughters, Susan L. Jordan and her husband, David, Carla W. Voorheis and her husband, Dirk; his brother, James F. Winningham and his wife, Arlene; Grandchildren: Jennifer Hinton and husband Brody, Kalie Watkins and husband, Brian, Heath Owens, Justice Voorheis, Tori Voorheis, Anna Voorheis, Megan Whitford and Raynie Hancock; also by his great grandchildren, Zander Hinton, Brynn Hinton and Brynna Watkins; Brother Mr. James F. Winningham and wife Arlene, sister in law Ms. Irene Winningham, sister in laws Ms. Nell Hart, Rose Killebrew and Pat French Hetzel and husband Jack, brother in law H.L. Sonny Southard, brother in law Darrell French and wife Bonita; and a host of nieces and nephews. Those serving as pallbearers include, Jeff Winningham, Mike Davis, Walter Morris, Gary Hart, Gary Farmer and Larry Huddleston.Those serving as honorary pallbearers include, James F. Winningham, H. L. Sonny Southard, C. D. Curry and Big John Washington. Services to celebrate Jacks life are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 9, 2015 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Hillcrest Burial Park. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
