Jack N. Murray / March 25, 1934 – May 10, 2020
Jack passed away on May 10, 2020 at the age of 86. Jack was born on March 25, 1934 in Sardis, TX. He attended the Sardis school system grades, 1 – 12. He went on to serve in the United States Navy and served in the Korean War. Soon after he married Patricia Birdsong on July 28, 1957.
Jack worked for Braniff Airlines until 1982 and then went on to work at C.A. Wilsons until he retired in 2004. He was an avid member of The Cowboy Church of Ellis County, where he participated in the band for several years, playing the guitar.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Emma and Elmer Murray, several brothers, and sisters, along with his son Scott Murray and daughter Jacqulyn Murray. He is survived by his wife Patricia Murray; his son Jon Murray and his wife Iola of Maypearl; son Jeff Murray and his wife Cindy of Waxahachie; grandchildren Matthew Murray and his wife Anita, Kristin Murray, Jon Michael Murray, and Audra Russell; great grandchildren Harper and Finley Murray & Jonnie and William “Finn” Atkins.
Jack’s legacy was his family, which he left with a full measure of love, great stories and dear memories.
