Jack C. Brown, 86 of Red Oak, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018 in Waxahachie. He was born June 10, 1931 in Red Oak to the late John Finco and Ora Lee Clayton Brown.
Jack built his family their home on the very same property where he was born, raised and lived his entire life. He was literally a Jack of all trades. The man could build anything from birdhouses to cattle barns, made from wood or metal. He was a farmer, rancher, carpenter, horticulturist, mechanic, but specialized in welding. No job was too big or small. Jack served our country in the Army National Guard of Texas.
Jack will be greatly missed by so many who loved him.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Edna Brown, who passed away August 17, 2017.
He is survived by his daughters, Ranell Gaston and her husband, Gary of Red Oak, Jacqueline Hachtel of Mansfield; his son, Allan Brown of Red Oak; 4 grandchildren, Kyle and Ryan Gaston, Lindsey Munchrath and Lauren Johns; 3 great grandchildren, Coen Munchrath, Ella Johns and Brylie Shortnacy.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 29, 2018 at the Red Oak Cemetery.
