Miss Benavides passed away Wednesday at the DeSoto Nursing Home and Rehab in Dallas. She was a resident of Oak Leaf, Texas. Miss Benavides was born in Dallas to Victor and Mary (Rener) Benavides. She was a secretary for American General Life Insurance Company and a retiree of AARP in Ft. Worth. She enjoyed church work and was a member of the Catholic Daughters.

A 7:30 visitation and Rosary will be Friday, October 26, 2007 at the St. Francis of Assisi Church, Lancaster. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Saturday, October 27, 2007 also at the church with Father Art Mallinson Celebrant. Graveside and interment will follow at 12:30 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Red Oak Funeral Home.
