Isaac Benjamin Baker, born April 2, 2014, in Mansfield, Texas and passed away suddenly June 22, 2017 at Children's Hospital in Dallas from complications of a viral infection. Isaac was three (3) years old.
Isaac was the son of Jonathan and Jessica Baker of Waxahachie, and the little brother of Dawson Baker. On his father's side of family Isaac is survived by his grandma, Kim McMillian, his uncle and aunt Steven and Paige Baker, and cousin Lauren Baker. On his mother's side of the family Isaac is survived by his grandparents Jack Jr. and Pam Farmer Stroope, great grandparents Jackson StroopeSr. and Helen Stroope, great great aunt Dorothy Fuller Lowery, great aunt Debbie Farmer Jones and her husband, Dallas and Laurie (Stroope) Scott, Janis Perry, and Greg and Judy (Stroope) Pelt. Isaac's uncles Justin Stroope and son Gavin Stroope, and Josh Stroope. Cousins Glen and Tiffany Allen and children Holder, Hunter, and Hannah, cousin Erin Jones.
Isaac was proceeded in death by his grandfather's David Baker and Bob McMillian.
Isaac was a part of Miss Laya's preschool; class at the First Christian Day School where his mom, Jessica, and grandma Kim McMillian both teach. As the child of a teacher Isaac was at school early and left late and had a great time through it all. Isaac was a happy child who loved trains and was recently thrilled to ride on Thomas the Train in Grapevine for his birthday. His proudest possession was the new bike he got for his birthday and his most beloved toys were a turtle named monkey and an Elmo called Lala, both of which got in all sorts of trouble.
Isaac was dedicated at Frist Christian Church where his grandma Kim retired as Associate Pastor. He was also part of the church families of Remedy Church and Waxahachie Bible Church. Isaac's death is a tragedy and he is sorely missed. The family is overwhelmed at the outpouring of love and generosity from family, friends, and the community.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Isaac Baker Benefit Account at Citizens National Bank of Waxahachie.
There will be a memorial service Friday, June 30 at 11:00 am at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
Following the Memorial Service there will be a luncheon at 12 noon for family, and friends at Frist Christian Life Center.
