Irvin Linvle "Kit" Roark, age 86 July 21, 1924 November 26, 2010 Kit Roark passed away Saturday afternoon at VA Hospital in Dallas. Irvin Linvle Roark was born in Acresville, Tennessee to I.L. and Lena Roark. He was raised and attended schools in Midlothian. Kit joined the Army in 1943 and served his country in the 101st Airborn Division. He was wounded in combat and received the Purple Heart. After he returned from the service, he moved to Waxahachie. He worked in the Automotive industry for 49 years. He was Service manager at W.O. Bankston Lincoln/Mercury, Lee Jarmon Ford, and Lonnie Day Ford. Later he and his brother Carson had their own shop, Roarké�s Auto. After his brother retired , Kit continued to work another 10 years and retired in 2005. Kit was a member of the Farley Street Baptist Church. He looked at every day as a blessing and truly enjoyed life. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, and visiting his friends at Whataburger. He reached out to his family and friends with a helping hand and asked for very little in return. He was a good man and will be missed. He is survived by his wife Rita Roark of Waxahachie, his son Ron Roark of Waxahachie, four grandchildren; Rip Roark and his wife Lisa of Carrizo Springs, Brandon Roark of Waxahachie, Wendy Roark of Waxahachie, Cody Roark and his wife Jennifer of Aledo. Also surviving are 4 great grandchildren; Colton, Ty, Reed and Mattie. He is also survived by one step-son, Lonnie Prachyl and his wife Cindy and two step-grandchildren. Valery and Steven. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters Naomi and May, 6 brothers Carson, Herman, Paul, Eulis, Comas, and Burt. The family will receive friends and relatives from 6 to 8 PM Monday evening at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Graveside Services Celebrating his Life will be 10 AM Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at the Waxahachie City Cemetery with Brother Jack McDaniels officiating. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Jason York, Mike Hopson, Rodney Rickman, Dorinda Clark, Paul Asby, Mark Mahoney.
