Iris Dean Barker March 17, 1925 May 07, 2011 Iris Barker, 86 of Red Oak, Texas passed away Saturday, May 07, 2011 in Red Oak. She was born to the late Henry Thomas and Docia Dora Smith Dixon on March 17, 1925 in Hope, Arkansas. Iris was a member of the FirstBaptist Church in Red Oak. She worked for Heads Department Store in Lancaster, Texas for 30 years and enjoyed going to the Red Oak Senior Citizen Center. She will be dearly missed by her family and everyone who knew and loved her. She is survived by her Daughter Paula of Red Oak, Texas; 2 Grandchildren: Damon and Lisa and 2 Great Grandchildren: Hannah and Vance. Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, May 09, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Red Oak with Rev. Jared Douglas officiating. Interment will follow at the Red Oak Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday, May 08, 2011 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie.
