Ila Faye Haigwood passed away January 7, 2008 at Baylor Medical Center in Waxahachie, Texas. She was born in Rockett, Texas to Columbus (Bun) Humphries and Isabelle (Bell) Jolly Humphries. She was a long time member of Rockett Christian Church in Rockett. She was employed by Marilyn Belt Manufacturing for several years.

Survivors include two nieces, Shirley Hullett Sligar and husband Bill and Bettye Moyers Bulkley and husband Harold; great nephews, Michael Hullett and wife Mary and Mark Moyers and wife Chemane. Also surviving is a great niece, Susan Moffitt as well as ten great-great nephews and nieces.

Preceding her in death were brothers, Huby Humphries, Ami Humphries, Raymond Humphries and Samuel Humphries and sisters, Hama Hastings, Valoree Dunavant, and Clara Farrar as well as his parents.

The family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday evening, January 9, 2008 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Red Oak Funeral Home. Celebration of Life will be Thursday, January 10, 2008 at 2 P.M. in the Red Oak Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor C.D. Haun officiating. Pallbearers will be Charles Prude, Mark Moyers, Charles Humphries, Tony Hamm, Michael Hullett and John Drake. Honorary pallbearer will be Sidney Buchanan. Interment will follow in Bells Chapel Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Red Oak Funeral Home.
