Jessie Ila Mae Frank Daniel
Ila Mae was born April 28, 1924 in Midway, Texas to Marvin and Ida Frank. She went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 7, 2017.
She was the oldest of seven children. The Frank family was very talented in music, which Ila loved very much. She played the piano for Bethel Temple Church in Hillsboro, Texas. Not
only was Ila a wonderful piano and organ player, she also played the accordion and guitar and sang in trios and quartets with her brothers and sisters. Ila married Troy Daniel in 1942 in Hillsboro, Texas. Troy worked as a butcher for Safeway and Piggly Wiggly. Ila enjoyed being a stay at home Mom for many years. When her two daughters moved to Waxahachie, Texas with their families it wasn't long before Troy and Ila moved there also, to be near their girls and
grandchildren. Ila and Troy bought Frank's Grocery and Meat Market and served the community from 1979 to 1992. Ila was a member of The Oaks Fellowship church in Red Oak, Texas.
Ila was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Troy Daniel in 1991; her
Father, Marvin Frank in 1972; her mother Ida Frank in 1995; her brothers, Cecil
Frank, Gilbert Frank, Milton Frank; also by her sister, Eloise Thomas and son-in-law, Bob Stiller. She is survived by her daughters, Judy Nelson and husband Don of Waxahachie, Arlene Stiller of Waxahachie; her sisters, Lila Bratcher of Whitney, Carolyn Benton and husband Jim. She was also survived by her grandchildren, Greg Nelson and wife Kelly of Aledo, Gary Nelson and wife Amy of Frisco, Grant Nelson and wife Jessica of Waxahachie, Tracy Phillips and husband
Rodney of Ovilla, Troy Willmon and wife Lisa of Ovilla; also by her great - grandchildren,
Courtney, Megan, Daniel, Noah, Mila, Brigg, Jessica, Kellie and Gabriella. Ila was
very blessed to have a great-great-granddaughter, Mackenzie, born in 2017; also by several nieces and nephews and her dear church friends.
Those serving as pallbearers include, Greg Nelson, Gary Nelson, Grant Nelson, Noah Nelson,
Rodney Phillips, Troy Willmon, Mike Frank, Tommy Lowe.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the doctors and nurses at
Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Waxahachie and Kindred Hospital in Mansfield
for all the wonderful care that they gave our mother / grandmother.
