Ida Cantu

Mrs. Naomi (Pete) Cantu of Waxahachie, 94, passed away July 28, 2012 at Mansfield Methodist Hospital. She was born February 8, 1918 to Dallas and Daisy Johnson. She is survived by her children, Frances Chandler, Billy Cantu and wife Peggy, Joe Cantu and wife Lysa, Richard Cantu, Cindy Wood and husband Lynn, all of Waxahachie, Carolyn Gunter and husband Thomas of Temple, TX, Gloria Glover and husband Leon of Neosho, MO, son-in-law Bob LeBlanc and wife Evelyn of Carrollton, TX. Grandchildren; Donald W. Chandler, Jr. and wife Christy and their children Dylan, Courtney and Chelsea of Buffalo, TX, Donna Pearson and husband Marc of Fort Worth, Traci Moore and husband Jason and their children Auston and Peyton of Waxahachie, Chris Cantu and wife Maruchy and their children Caleb and Cole of Phoenix, AZ, Jana Gunter of Round Rock, Jennifer Gunter of Plano, Evan Cantu and Jessica and son Ryder of Waxahachie and Lynden Wood of Nacogdoches. Naomi was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Cantu Sr., daughter Naomi Ann Le Blanc and her two sisters and one brother. A visitation to celebrate her life is scheduled for Tuesday night, July 31, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie. Naomi loved family gatherings and spending time watching her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children or the charity of your choice.
