Mrs. Ozymy passed away Friday evening at Renfro Healthcare Center in Waxahachie. Mrs Ozymy was born in Bosque county near Meridian one of five children to John H and Donie Mae (Hardison) Williams. She graduated from Whitney High School in 1929 and received her teaching certificate from Denton College in 1930. She taught school for 1 year at Bethlehem School near Whitney. Hortense married Frank Ozymy December 20, 1931 in Whitney, Texas and moved to Waxahachie. Mrs. Ozymy had been employed with; Haggar Slacks, Skillerns and JC Penney Co. She was a longtime member of the Farley Street Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School. Her family was her life.

Surviving her are her four sons: Johnie F Ozymy and his wife Connie of Waxahachie, Mike Ozymy and his wife Angela of Colleyville, Ronnie Ozymy and his wife Joy of Waxahachie, and Dennie Ozymy of Lancanster. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchilden. Preceding her in death were: her parents, her son Kenneth, her husband Frank in 1978, 3 brothers and 1 sister.

A special acknowledgment to Renfro Care Center ,Johnie, Connie, Ronnie,and Joy Ozymy for their devoted and loving care for the past four years.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 3 to 5 PM Sunday evening at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 10 AM Monday, February 4, 2008 at the Myrtle Cemetery in Ennis with Brother Richard Smith Officiating.
The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Farley Street Baptist Church Building Fund.
