Horace Cheatham (Dick) Thompson

Mr. Thompson was born December 1, 1919 to Joe and Audrey Thompson in Waxahachie, Texas. He died December 13, 2009 at his Waxahachie residence. Dick graduated from Waxahachie High School in 1938 and then entered the US Air Force. His last service duty station was in England where He was a control tower operator. Dick attended Trinity University and Graduated from Southern Mehtodist University with a BBA degree in Business Administration. He worked for Standard Oil for sixteen years in Casper, Wyoming and retired from St. Vincent's Infirmary in Little Rock, Arkansas where he was Director of Personnel. Dick and his wife Rosa retired to Waxahachie, TX. where they have lived since 1983.

He is survived by his wife Rosa; daughter, Judy and husband Ron Myers of Phoenix, AZ.; son, John Thompson of Dallas, TX.; daughter, Jeanne and husband Morris Busby of Hico, Texas; five grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 11 AM Monday, January 4, 2010 at the DFW National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie.
