Hester Lavenia Rockett June 9, 1923 May 30, 2010 Hester Lavenia Rockett, 86 of Duncanville, passed away Sunday, May 30, 2010 in Duncanville. She was born on June 9, 1923 in Crane, Texas. Hester loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved quilting, working puzzles and card games. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Smith of Duncanville; her brother, Curtiss Ryan and his wife, Betty of Weatherford; her sister, Lois Baygent of Stafford, VA; she is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Hester was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Rockett and by her 2 sons, Ronald Rockett and Gary Rockett. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Bells Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie.
