Herbert Middlebrooks

Herbert "Mickey" Middlebrooks, 62 of Waxahachie, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 26, 1953 in Montgomery, Alabama to the late Clyde Oscar and Martha Emma Middlebrooks. Mickey served in the United States Air Force from 1971-1975. He served in Vietnam, Unavow Thailand, Guam and Dyess Air Force Base. He was a great mechanic in Alabama. He loved driving his "Big Rig" across country and also spending time with his family and his church family. He was a member at the Stagecoach Cowboy Church of Ellis County. Mickey will be greatly missed and continually loved as his legacy lives on. "Roll Tide Baby!"

He is survived by his wife, Patricia of Waxahachie, his sons, Shelby and his wife, Tammy Middlebrooks of Italy, Jamie Middlebrooks of Mobile, Alabama, Dustin and his wife, Katie Middlebrooks of Demopolis, Alabama; his daughters, Angela and her husband, Duane Carpenter of Abilene, Amanda and her husband, Cliff Williams of Demopolis; his step sons, Ronnie and his wife, Lisa Littles of Edinburg, Texas and Aaron and his wife, Christan of Waxahachie; his brother in law, Larry and his wife, Brenda Huddleston of Waxahachie; his grandchildren, Jordan, David, Damon and Nicholas from Italy, Devin, Wesley, Beau and Liam from Demopolis, Layne and Lana from Abilene, Corey and Morgan Littles from Waxahachie and Hannah Jackson and Jordan from Edinburg, Texas, Alex Williams of Demopolis.

He was preceded in death by his loving brother, Jack Middlebrooks and his sister, Blanche Middlebrooks. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2016 at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.

For family and friends, a memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2016 at the Stagecoach Cowboy Church in Waxahachie.
