Henry Dale Watson, age 73

Mr. Henry Dale Watson of Waxahachie, passed away Tuesday, December 8th, 2009 at his residence.
Dale was born in Kilgore, Texas to Henry and Gladys (Miller) Watson. He graduated from Corsicana High School in 1955 and joined the Army National Guard. He then joined the US Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1961. Dale married Nelda Hatch March 18, 1961 in Durant, Oklahoma. He was employed with AT&T for 22 years and later owned Dale's Detail & Lube in Waxahachie for 10 years before retiring.
Dale's community involments included: Ellis County Rodeo Association, PeeWee Football coach, Soccer Coach, Cowboy Church of Ellis County Buckout Team, and Waxahachie Masonic Lodge # 90. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and his grandkids.
Dale is survived; by his loving wife of 48 years, Nelda Watson of Waxahachie, his children; Jeffery D. Hall and his wife Sally, of Van Alstyne, Lisa Bailey and her husband Charlie of Waxahachie, Brian Watson and his fiance Jennifer of Waxahachie, his six grandchilden; Jessica Branscome and her husband Aaron, Brittany Bailey, Cole Bailey, Peyton Watson, Josh Gafford, Jenny Gafford and his four great grandchildren; Harley Marshall, Jadon Bailey, Alex Branscome, and Roni-Ann Gafford. Also surviving are four sisters; Loys Bounds of Brownwood, Annebelle Bounds of Monahans, Mary Roberson of Garland, Beverly Bounds and her husband Bill of Garland, and brother Lynn Watson of Azle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and one brother.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 6 to 8 PM Friday evening at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 9:00 AM Saturday morning, December 12, 2009 at the Cowboy Church, 2374 W. Hwy 287 Bypass with Gary Morgan officiating. Interment will follow at the Lakeview Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be: Rusty Hightower, Harold Hubbard, Mike Aman, Royce Gothard, Charlie Bailey, Rick Crawford.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Orville Stanton, Sanford Smith and Jerry Chandler.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Cowboy Church of Ellis County Arena fund.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
