Helen Sykora

Helen Annette Sykora of Waxahachie went to rest with the Lord, surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, September 10, 2019.  She was a loving wife, mother, memaw and aunt.

Annette was born on November 6, 1947 to Wayne & Moneta Edwards in Dallas, TX.  She graduated from Grand Prairie High School in 1965.  After high school, she attended Dallas Baptist University for 2 years.  In 1969, she married the love of her life, Marcus Sykora.  They just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 3, 2019.

In her spare time, Annette would love to sew and make special gifts from the heart for her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Moneta Edwards.

She is survived by her husband, Marcus of Waxahachie; son Anthony Sykora and his wife Kimberly of Red Oak; granddaughters Kaylee, Ashlyn, and Avery Sykora; sister Cindy Wiggins and her husband Steve of Maypearl; brother Charles Edwards and his wife Brenda of Glen Rose; sister in law Sondra Sugg and her husband Ron of Weatherford; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 15, 2019 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm at Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie, TX.  Graveside services will be at 10:00 am on Monday September 16, 2019 at Mt. Peak Cemetery in Midlothian, TX
