Hazel Hoeinghaus

Hazel W. Hoeinghaus, 89 of Waxahachie, passed away Monday, June 13, 2016 in Waxahachie. She was born July 20, 1926 in Fairfield, Freestone County, Texas to Clarence and Jessie Pearl Renfro Speed.
Granny graduated from Fairfield High School in 1943 and married Oscar Carl Henry Hoeinghaus on January 27, 1945. She loved cooking and baking and she was excellent at both. One of her favorite pleasures was to have family and /or friends seated at her table enjoying food she had prepared. Among the family favorites were her chocolate chip cookies and her Thanksgiving turkey and dressing. Family was especially important to her and she was extremely proud of her son, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Granny's beautiful yard with plants, flowers, and shrubs always included a bird feeder and a squirrel feeder and she spent hours watching them.
Survivors include her son, Ronnie Carl Hoeinghaus and wife, Brenda; granddaughter, Heather Ann Dineen and husband, John Paul Dineen, III all of Waxahachie; her grandson, Ryan Cody Hoeinghaus and wife, Allison of Dallas; great grandchildren, Lila Dineen, Amelia Dineen, John Paul Dineen, V. and Harrison Hoeinghaus; her sister, Nelma Jean Bonner of Fairfield, Texas and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Oscar Carl Henry Hoeinghaus; her parents, Clarence and Jessie Renfro Speed; 7 of 8 siblings, Renfro Speed, Travis Speed, Lillian Lee, Gladys Hargrove, J. Q. Speed, Earl Speed, Eleanor Grace Cannon; and her beloved great grandson, John Paul Dineen, IV.
Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at the Ward Prairie Baptist Church, 341 FM 488, (3.5 miles north of Fairfield, Texas) with Bro. Louis Simpson officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 20, 2016 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie.
