Hazel Marie Futch, age 79

Mrs. Futch passed away Wednesday morning at the Baylor Medical Center, Waxahachie.
She was born in Massey, Texas to Rufus Elmer and Nettie P. (Brannan) Beene. She moved to Ellis County in 1943 from Mertens, then married John Truman Futch on October 29, 1948 in Waxahachie. He preceded her in death April 16, 2006. She was first employed with Marchman's Department Store for several years, raised two girls and after they completed school, she was employed with JC Penney's as Supervisor of the Catalog Department, where she retired. She enjoyed wood crafts and made concrete patio/yard ornaments. Her main hobby was her grandchildren. Mrs. Futch was a longtime member of the Ferris Avenue Baptist Church.

Her survivors include: daughters, Brenda Graham and husband Bobby of Waxahachie, Bridgett Borden and husband Bob of Port Bolivar, Texas; sisters, Lois Harris and husband Kenneth of High Island, Texas, Mollie Bratcher of Waxahachie; grandchildren, Robert Borden and Jessica, Brice Borden and Maven, Brandon Borden and Katie; great grandchildren, Brittney, Benjamen, Brent and Brett Borden; numerous nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brother-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and two brothers.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Thursday at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of her Life will be 2 PM Friday, January 26, 2007 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor David Brown and Brother Carlton Young officiating. Pallbearers will be Robert Borden, Brice Borden, Morris Beene, Gene David,Johnny Radney, and Joey Kirton; honorary pallbearer will be Brandon Borden who is currently serving our country in the US Navy. Interment will follow in the Forreston Cemetery.
