Mr. Vervalin passed away Thursday morning at his Waxahachie residence. He was born in Royse City, Rockwall County, Texas to Norvelle and Janette (Pare) Vervalin. He graduated from Royse City High School. He served in the US Army 1961-1967, had been a diesel mechanic since 1967, and had been employed as a Diesel Technician with ATC Freightliner for the last eight years. He and Gloria (Jones) Inscore were married December 13, 1979 in Whitehouse, Texas. Mr. Vervalin was Past Master Mason of HM Bell Lodge #1371, also in Whitehouse. He was a member of the Bethel Methodist Church. A fisherman who loved hunting and fishing, he was also known as "Papaw".

Mr. Vervalin is survived by: his wife, Gloria Vervalin of Waxahachie; children, Christi Lyn Beach of Austin, Teressa Ann Vervalin of Austin, Melissa Dee Looney of Dallas, Cheryl Dawn Inscore of Waxahachie, and Dr. Frank Earl Inscore and wife Kristine of Bristol, CT.; siblings, Donald Allen Vervalin of Paris, Pamelia Annette Harvey of Sanger, Norvella Vervalin of Dallas; and grand daughter, Meta Ann Inscore. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends and relatives 8 AM-12 Noon Saturday, December 2, 2006 at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of his Life will be 2 PM Saturday, December 2, 2006 at the Bethel United Methodist Church with Pastor Bob Rainey officiating. Pallbearers will be Scott Callaway, Nate Vervalin, Walter Crowe, Dave Robinson, Mike Christy and Jerry Martin. Interment will be in the Bethel Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bethel United Methodist Church, Waxahachie Baylor Auxiliary or the Shriner's Children's Hospital, Dallas.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
