Mr. Smith passed away Thursday at his home in Grand Prairie. He was born in Dallas to Harry E., Sr. and Clara B. (Gregory) Smith.

His survivors include: mother, Clara B. Smith; life partner, John Carpenter; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Ronnie Applewhite; brother, Wayne Smith, all of Grand Prairie; nieces, Lana Speed and husband Steve
of Justin, Dana Pierce and husband Ron of BelAir, MD.; nephews, Ronnie Applewhite, Jr. and wife Maria of Seattle, WA., and Rick Applewhite of Roanoke; numerous great nieces and great nephews.
