Harold O. Fincher, age 82
February 28, 1925
February 12, 2008

Mr. Fincher passed away Tuesday evening at Select Specialty Hospital in DeSoto. Mr. Fincher was born in Waxahachie one of 7 children to Jodie O. and Cassie R. Fincher. He graduated from Waxahachie High School the Class of 1943 and served in the US Army, Company H., 403 Infantry during WWII. After his honorable discharge he married Bobbie L. Haley July 20, 1946 in Dallas. Harold had worked for Sears & Roebuck and retired from Larkin Packer ( Joy Manufacturing) as an electrician. After his retirement he worked (fussed) with J. W. Mauldin at Mauldin Electric. Harold was a longtime member and past president of the Waxahachie Optimist Club, a past Deacon of Water Street Baptist Church, presently a Deacon of First Baptist Church, and a longtime member of the Men's Downtown Bible Class.

He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Fincher; son, Terry Fincher and his wife Eva; daughter, Brenda Donnell and her husband Robert; grandsons, Aaron Itson and his wife Amanda, Rocky Robinson and his wife Stephanie, Daniel Donnell and David Donnell; granddaughters, Meredith Martin and her husband Todd, Kerrah Turner and her husband Cole, Natalie Oliver, Somer Hays and Meagan Hays. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 6 to 8 PM Thursday evening at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 10 AM Friday, February 15, 2008 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel with Dr. Shane Kinnison officiating. Interment will follow at the Waxahachie City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Joe Douglas Fincher, Edwin Fincher, James Fincher, Dale Fincher, Charles Bowden and Donald Jones.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the Men's Downtown Bible Class.
Memorials may be made to the Downtown Bible Class or the First Baptist Church Building Fund.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
