Grady Houston Gentry, Jr. , 74, of Waxahachie, passed away in his home on Saturday, July 13, 2019, following a short battle with cancer.
He leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Judy Gentry and daughter, Susan Gentry. He is also survived by sister, Betty Morrison of Terrell; sister, Maurine Fielding of Terrell; brother, Jerry Gentry and wife, Catherine of Duncanville; sister, Bobbi Tice and husband, Sabre of Carrollton; brother, Carlton E. Gentry of Lake Tawakoni; sister, Evelyn Ross and husband, Donald of Elmo; sister, Sharon Steinbach and husband, Mike of Irving; brother, Dennis E. Gentry and wife, Angie of Lake Tawakoni; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Houston Gentry, and his parents, Grady and Robbie Gentry.
Grady was born on September 26, 1944 in Dallas. He later moved to Duncanville and settled in Waxahachie. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle, great uncle and caregiver. He loved all the kids and his animals. He will be greatly missed.
Friends and family are encouraged to gather for a time of visitation on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 from 6 to 8 in the evening at Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Services Celebrating Grady’s life will be held Thursday, July 18,2019 at two o’clock in the afternoon in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel at Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Burial will follow services at Little Bethel Cemetery in Duncanville, TX.
