Gordon Seymore

Gordon Ray Seymore of Waxahachie passed away, Friday December 23 at his residence. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday December 28, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday December 27, 2016 from 6:00pm to 8:00 Pm at Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie. Interment will follow the service in Sardis Cemetery.

Gordon was born on October 10, 1958 in Waxahachie, Texas to Charles G. and Reathia Seymore. Ray was the first of seven children and known as the "boss and protector." He was retired after many years from S&S Tire Company a family business. He was a mechanic by trade and a backseat driver by choice. He spent his retired years being a committed fisherman, loving his English Bulldogs, and playing many hours of candy crush.

He was a loving husband, a proud father and an attentive poppy.

Gordon Ray Seymore is survived by his parents, Charles and Reathia Lynetta Seymore of Waxahachie; his wife Shannon Seymore, his children Jordan Brett Seymore, Maddison Danielle Seymore of Waxahachie, TX and Ami Che'rri Padgett and husband Cody Padget Portales, New Mexico, his grandchildren Jaxson Seymore, Alliegrace Seymore, Haiden and Hudsyn Padgett. Two brothers Lynn Seymore and Jon Seymore and wife Jennifer of Waxahachie, TX. Four sisters Gay Brown and husband Rusty of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, Sharon Settlemyer and husband Eddie of Richland, Texas. Veronica Smith and husband Mike of Waxahachie, TX and Tobey Stoffregen and husband Dennis of Waxahachie, TX. Three sister in laws, and numerous nieces and nephews along with many friends and loved ones.

The family asks that you please bring a fishing lure or worm for send-off to catch his big fish.
