Gonzalo Hernandez, Iii

Gonzalo Vivi Hernandez, III, 50, of Waxahachie, ended a sudden battle with cancer on Sunday, November 18, 2012, at his home in Maypearl. His family members were by his side when he left to meet the Lord. He was born in Dimmit, Texas on August 02, 1962 to Gonzalo and Teya Hernandez. He was a dedicated family man who loved taking his grandsons to the movies and enjoyed his daily routine. Vivi was a devoted son, an honorable brother, and an irreplaceable father. Vivi attended Friona High School and then later, Waxahachie High School. He was a loyal employee to Magnablend in Waxahachie for a number of years. He lived a peaceful, easy going life and will be missed tremendously by those who are privileged to call him their son, brother, father, and friend. Left to honor Vivi is his father Gonzalo Hernandez, jr. , mother Teya Rodriguez, brothers, Joe (Virginia) Hernandez, George (Cynthia) Hernandez, and Oscar Hernandez; His two daughters Heather Hernandez-Haire, Haley Hernandez Soldevilla and their husbands; and his four grandsons: Sebastian, Jacob, Raul, Urijah, and his only granddaughter Trinitee; and one nephew and three nieces. Those serving as pallbearers include Joe Hernandez, George Hernandez, Oscar Hernandez, Raul Rodriguez, Jr., Luis Hernandez, Jr. and Geronimo Hernandez, Jr. Those being honored as honorary pallbearers include, Gonzalo Hernandez, Jr., Teya Hernandez, Sebastian Hernandez and Drake Hernandez. Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home with Pastor John Martinez officiating. Interment will follow at the Maypearl Cemetery.
