Glynn Cleveland

Glynn Roy Cleveland, age 76 August 5, 1934 May 2, 2011 Mr. Cleveland passed away at his residence Monday morning. Mr. Cleveland was born in Palmer, Texas to Garland and Edith (Whitlock) Cleveland. He graduated from Palmer High School and attended Baylor University at Waco. Glynn served in the US Army from 1957 - 1959. He married Virginia Proffitt July 14, 1956 in Waxahachie. Glynn was a lumber salesman for Lane Stanton Lumber Company of California for 23 years retiring in 1995. He was a member of the New Beginnings Bible Church of Ferris. Glynn enjoyed carpentry as a hobby, making furniture. He loved the lord, helping people and loving his family. Glynn is survived by his wife of 54 years Virginia of Waxahachie; two daughters, Deborah, and Husband Steve White, Carol Ann, and Husband Kim Hewson; a son, Brian, and wife Kristen Cleveland, all of Waxahachie, TX., and special cousin Paula Harper of Fort Worth. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren: Katie, Travis, Kaitlyn, Joy, Maddison, Mackenzie, Morgan, Macie, Angelina and one great grandson, Jackson Glynn He was preceded in death by parents Garland and Edith Cleveland, Infant son David Glynn Cleveland, two brothers, Lynn and Ronnie. The family will receive friends and relatives from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday evening at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 2:00 PM Thursday, May 5, 2011 at the New Beginnings Bible Church in Ferris with Pastor Bobby Adams officiating. Interment will follow at the Palmer Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: James Fields, Jerry Wester, Bill Glendening, Harlan Baldridge, Dan Horton, James Wilson. Honorary Pallbearers: Kenny Caldwell, James Wester, Bailey Shafer, and Kenneth Burns.
