Huntington, Gloria M. McKay Gloria Miller McKay Huntington, 81 of Waxahachie, passed away April 11, 2009 in Waxahachie at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, surrounded by her loving family. She was born to the late George E. and Mary D. White McKay on August 20, 1927 in Calais, Maine. Gloria's greatest pleasure was to spend time with her husband on various outings into the mountains fishing, hunting, and just to be with nature. She was a life member of Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, post number 3224; a Auxiliary, Life Member of the Disabled American Veterans,and also a member of the Humane Society of the United States. She was a very accomplished poet with published poems worldwide. Her humor, laughter, and kindness will be greatly missed. All those who knew her, loved her and all those she knew, she loved.She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Hiram Huntington, whom she married on September 22, 1945, in Bangor, Maine. She is survived by her loving daughter Dianne, son-in-law, Robert J. Maddison; her grandson, Robert James Maddison, Jr, wife Teresa; great granddaughters, Maggie and Kate; grandson, Gregory Earl Maddison, wife Melissa; great grandsons, Ethan, Jacob, and Zachary. Gloria was a very spiritual lady who loved and had the utmost faith in the Lord. In honoring her wishes, Gloria will be cremated and services to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
