Gloria Jean Hogan passed away on Wednesday, November 30th, 2022 at Baylor Scott and White hospital in Dallas with her husband, Ronald Hogan, by her side.
Gloria was born on July 29th, 1951 to Edna (Rogers) Kindred, and Gene Kindred in Dallas, Texas. Throughout her life, she responded to many names. However, Babe, GloBug, Gigi, and Nana were some of her favorites. On November 26th, 1969, she and her husband Ronald were married in Pastor Philpot’s study. They were married for 53 years at the time of her passing.
She was a devoted employee for 25 years at the Bear Creek Shell station and was known as a dependable and hardworking individual. Miss Gloria knew how to interact with people and definitely had her regulars that came inside to pay for their gas just to see her. After she retired in 2018, you could always find her at one of these places: sitting in her recliner with her 4th child (her dog, Jack), watching the newest reality show or Hallmark movie, riding in the passenger seat next to her husband, on the front porch completed with a glass of Crystal Lite or unsweet tea with Splenda with her feet propped up, or roaming the aisles of Ross for nothing in particular — a hobby she’s passed down to all generations that came after her.
Gloria was a devoted wife, mother, aunt, nana, and a force to be reckoned with. She was always quick to give a hug, some random thing she bought because it made her think of you, or a quick-witted remark. She will be remembered as a committed Cowboys fan, professional deal finder, but most importantly, as someone who continues to be dearly loved and deeply missed.
Gloria is survived by her childhood sweetheart and husband of 53 years, Ronald Hogan, son Russell Hogan, and her beloved daughter and husband Sherri and David McCoy.
As well as her granddaughter and husband Sierra and Evan Byers, and granddaughter Victoria McCoy. She will be greatly missed by her best friend Teresa Patrick and her husband Marc, not to mention her many loved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
She was preceded in death by her parents Edna and Gene Kindred, her brother Howard Kindred, and her daughter Kristie Michelle Hogan.
The family would like to invite those who knew Gloria and want to support her loved ones to come and celebrate her life.
