Mrs. Wilhoite, a lifetime Waxahachie resident, passed away Wednesday at Methodist Central Hospital in Dallas. She was born to Herman and Marjorie (Pratt) Giles. Glenda graduated from Waxahachie High School in 1961. She married Lynn Wilhoite June 9, 1961 also in Waxahachie. She was co-partner and wife for 41 years. Mrs. Wilhoite was secretary of the Reagor Springs Craft and Study Club and volunteered for the Christian Care Center. She was an avid outdoorsman; having bragging rights that she killed the biggest deer. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of the College Street Church of Christ.

Glenda is survived by: her husband, Lynn Wilhoite; parents, Herman and Marjorie Giles; one son, Rodney Wilhoite and his wife Jenny; two daughters, Ginger Mulkey, and Darby Anderson and her husband Lee of Iowa Park, TX.; two brothers, Gary Giles and wife Judy and Perry Giles and wife Kathy; grandchildren, Kaysi and Kari Mulkey, Anna Wilhoite, Baylee Anderson and one on the way; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and relatives 6-8 PM Friday evening at the Wayne Boze Funeral Home. The Celebration of Life will be 10 AM Saturday, March 15, 2003 in the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of the funeral home with Walter Buchanan and Wayne England officiating. Pallbearers will be Randy Tobias, Leslie Wilhoite, Tommy Wilhoite, Ron Appleton, Don Storm and Larry Wilhoite. Honorary pallbearers will be Melvin Loveless, I. G. Gorman, David Stalter, Victor Cvikel, Dean Box, Horace Bratcher,Keith Hines and Kenneth Patterson. Interment will follow in Red Oak Cemetery.
