Glenda Sue Combs September 26, 1946 November 26, 2010 Glenda Sue Combs, 64 of Ennis, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 26, 2010. She was born to the late Roy Jackson and Minnie Lois Craig Cable on September 26, 1946 in Chattanooga, TN. Glenda loved to read, cook and laugh. She loved all children and children seemed to gravitate to her. All the children in her life that she loved and who loved her always called her either Mom or Nanny. She loved planting things and watching them grow. Above all, she loved her family and loved spending time with them, especially her children and grandchildren. Glenda will be dearly missed by so many who were touched by her life. She is survived by her son, Boyce Markham and his wife, Jessica of Aurora, CO; her daughters, Tina Woodard and her husband, Heath of Waxahachie, Cara Westbury and her husband, Ryan of Midlothian; her brothers, Mack Cable and his wife, Robbie of Ennis, and Doug Cable of Tennessee; her sisters, Brenda Wagner of Spring, Texas, Pam Brown of Tennessee, Tamberlyn Shaw of Tennessee and Donna Nuckols of Tennessee; she is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Allen Hogan, McKenzie Westbury, Heather Woodard, Miranda Markham, Courtney Woodard, Wyatt Markham, Madelyn Westbury; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James O. Combs; her brothers, T. H. Thornton, Robert Raper, Ray Jackson Cable; her sister, Kathy Shipp; and by her son-in-law, David Hogan. Services to celebrate her life are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 3, 2010 at Park Meadows Baptist Church of Waxahachie with Dr. Joe Langley officiating. Interment will follow at the Sardis Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home, Waxahachie. Those serving as pallbearers include, Brett Evans, Danny Williams, Ed Patterson, Joe Markham, Troy Markham, and Dannie Michaels.
